Workshop Full DescThe LETRS for Administrators training is designed to equip school and district leaders with the knowledge and tools to support effective literacy instruction. This workshop provides a comprehensive overview of the science of reading, the components of literacy development, and evidence-based practices for improving student outcomes. Workshop ObjectivesUnderstand the Science of Reading: Educators will develop a comprehensive understanding of the cognitive processes and research-based principles that underlie effective reading instruction, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Identify and Address Reading Challenges: Participants will learn to diagnose common reading difficulties, interpret assessment data, and apply targeted instructional strategies to support diverse learners, including students with dyslexia or other learning disabilities.

Implement Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction: Educators will be able to apply evidence-based teaching practices in their classrooms that enhance reading proficiency and promote literacy development for students across all grade levels.

Utilize Differentiated Instruction Techniques: Teachers will acquire skills to adapt their reading instruction to meet the needs of individual students, employing a variety of approaches to ensure that all learners achieve reading success.
Assessment of LearningParticipants will be encouraged to monitor teachers as they implement Science of Reading strategies in the classroom. Participants will participate in discussions throughout the interactive in-person se4ssions.
