Seminar Full Desc | Although standards-based grading isn't new, its value has never been greater. The purpose of the first session is to be introduced to standards-based grading and learn how to implement it within a school district. Participants will learn about standards-based grading by understanding the research behind it and determining the benefits it can provide schools and families. A model of an effective standards-based grading system, including detailed report cards, will be provided for participants to analyze and determine best practices. Finally, participants will have time to collaborate and share ideas on how best to implement this within a district. The second session will provide more time to begin actual implementation and to problem-solve any challenges that may exist. |
