Seminar Short Desc | This collaborative learning community (CLC) is designed to provide collaboration, networking, and research opportunities for middle and high school English Language Arts teachers in the CA BOCES region. The CLC will provide support in the integration of Next Generation ELA Standards. This is a 3-session series, with each session focusing on various topics related to ELA and the NG ELA standards. |
Seminar Full Desc | This collaborative learning community (CLC) is designed to provide collaboration, networking, and research opportunities for middle and high school English Language Arts teachers in the CA BOCES region. Each meeting is structured around the needs, interests, and concerns of the ELA teachers who attend, as well as to provide continued support for implementation of the Next Generation ELA Standards. Other topics that may be covered are data analysis, vocabulary instruction, writing workshop, "the conventions" instruction, curriculum alignment, technology in the ELA classroom, and standards aligned assessments. We will be supporting continued work from summer ELA professional development. |
