The community meets four times a year, providing a regular space for members to connect and collaborate on various projects.
Each session is led by experienced mentors who provide guidance, support, and hands-on assistance to help members develop their skills. The community is open to teachers and individuals with any level of experience, so whether you're a beginner just starting to learn or an experienced professional looking for a challenge, you'll find a welcoming community here. At each session, we focus on a different theme or topic, such as web development, game design, or app development. Members can work on individual projects or collaborate with others in small groups, giving everyone a chance to explore their interests and learn from others. Our collaborative learning community is not just about learning new skills; it's also about building friendships and a sense of community. Members have the opportunity to network, share their experiences, and make new connections with people who share their passion for technology. | Seminar Topics, Concepts & Resources | Topic will vary to participants needs. We will focus on geometry, game creation in both block coding and Python. |
| Seminar Objectives | Participants will be met where they are at with coding and taken beyond what they know. Participants will learn best practices around using coding as a teaching and learning skill. |
| Assessment of Learning | Participants will be asked on a survey, at the end of the 23-24 school year if they were able to advance in their teaching around coding and implementation is the classroom. |
