Seminar Objectives-As a result of this workshop participants will *examine the Science of Writing and its relationship to the Science of Reading *review and discuss cross-curricular writing and language requirements*Engage in writing activities that can be used in the classroom*Access and explore resources via Insignia that can be used for writing assignments
Work Summary-Participants engaged in text rendering protocols, participated in small and large group discussions, completed a Project Look Sharp activity, explored resources and determined which would be beneficial for student instruction
Assessment of Learning-Participants took notes, asked questions, and were engaged in learning activities
Evaluation Summary Notes-Participants were not provided with a survey to complete since in the past, the school issued the evaluations. Based on feedback from the group, the training was beneficial and participants expressed thanks
Needed Changes-August 5 workshop on the Science of Reading for those who are interested in writing strategies
