| Seminar Broadcast Notes | This workshop is intended for those new to the library profession and who have not yet received training on Demco products. Plan to bring 5 or so books in need of repair. Consider: damaged corners (hardcover books); broken spines, torn pages, ripped out pages, etc. |
| Seminar Objectives | Participants will:
- learn how to make books "shelf-ready" - practice the technique of breaking in a paperback and recovering for durability - understand the purposes of different adhesives and tapes - repair a torn page using correct method and adhesive strip - gain knowledge in correctly repairing the spine of a hard-covered book - utilize Demco products on books with specific repair needs |
