Seminar Short Desc | Teachers will learn about the components of the Advancing STEM curriculum which is aligned to the New York State Science Learning Standards. |
Seminar Full Desc | Participants will dig into the 5E Model and NYSSLS, including the three dimensions, performance expectations, and engineering design aspects. The curriculum kits will be introduced and activities will be discussed and some performed using the 5E model. Additional activities will be done to apply the model and three dimensions for each of the activities. Participants will leave with an understanding of the structure of their grade level kit, hints and tips for teaching, the 5E Model, and engineering design process. |
