Seminar Short Desc | Extend your physical classroom using virtual reality and augmented reality. AR/VR provides rich "life-like" experiences for students in places they may never see in real life. |
Seminar Full Desc | Imagine never having seen Niagara Falls, Ocean Waves or Washington DC in person. With today's technology, students can experience this right in the comfort of their own classroom using free web tools and technology that may already be available in your school. Teachers can explore free immersive experiences using virtual reality and take students on virtual tours using augmented reality. Teachers and students can both use free tools to create augmented reality layers that provide new experiences in the classroom. In this workshop, participants will take a deep dive into Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) devices and develop a deeper understanding of how both educators and students can create meaning about the world around them through VR/AR.
You do not have to be a technology expert to create and use AR/VR. |
