| Seminar Short Desc | Grades 3, 4, and 5 teachers will experience selected lessons and activities in the kits and get to interact with the materials and online resources in addition to an overview of the NYS Science Learning Standards, 3-dimensional learning, and the 5E lesson structure. |
| Seminar Full Desc | Grades 3, 4, and 5 teachers will experience selected lessons and activities in the kits and get to interact with the materials and online resources. In the morning we will go through the NYS Science Learning Standards and 3-dimensional learning. Then there will be a general overview of the Advancing STEM kits and the 5E lesson structure. Participants will then be provided time to rotate through stations, working on activities from their corresponding grade levels. Teachers will have the opportunity to map out the science curriculum into their yearly plans. |
