Seminar Full DescWelcome to the "Birdbrain Hummingbird Workshop"! This one-day workshop is designed to teach educators how to use the Birdbrain Hummingbird robotics kit with students in 4th through high school.

The workshop will start with an overview of the Birdbrain Hummingbird and its components. Participants will learn how to assemble the kit and how to connect it to a computer. Next, the workshop will cover basic programming concepts using Snap! online, a visual programming language. Participants will learn how to use Snap! online to control the movements of the Hummingbird's motors and LEDs.

After mastering the basics, the workshop will move on to more advanced topics. Participants will learn how to use sensors, such as light sensors and distance sensors, to create interactive projects. They will also learn how to use the Hummingbird with other programming languages, such as Python and Java.

Throughout the workshop, participants will work on hands-on activities to reinforce the concepts they are learning. They will work in small groups to build and program their own Hummingbird projects. They will also have the opportunity to share their projects with the group and receive feedback.

At the end of the workshop, participants will have the skills and knowledge to use the Birdbrain Hummingbird with their students. They will receive a certificate of completion and access to additional resources, such as lesson plans and project ideas.

Overall, the "Birdbrain Hummingbird Workshop" is a fun and engaging way to learn about robotics and programming. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to use the Hummingbird and how to inspire their students to explore the world of robotics.
