Seminar Short DescThis professional development program focuses on integrating iRobot, Dash and Dot, Sphero, and Cubelets into the classroom to enhance STEM learning. Through hands-on activities, teachers will learn to develop engaging, interactive lessons that teach coding, robotics, and problem-solving skills, and to effectively manage technology projects.
Seminar Full DescThe professional development for teachers focuses on integrating innovative technology tools into the classroom, including iRobot, Dash and Dot, Sphero, and Cubelets. The training program provides hands-on activities and demonstrations on how to incorporate these tools into a variety of subject areas, such as science, math, and language arts. Teachers will learn how to use iRobot to create autonomous robots, Sphero to teach coding and problem-solving skills, and Dash and Dot to develop creative projects that incorporate coding and engineering concepts. The training will also cover how to use Cubelets to teach robotics and engineering concepts through hands-on, interactive building and programming. By the end of the professional development, teachers will have the skills and confidence to effectively integrate these innovative tools into their teaching practice and inspire their students to explore STEM subjects in new and exciting ways.

Seminar Broadcast NotesPlease bring your own device. If using an iPad, please have iRobot, Blockly and Sphero Edu Apps downloaded. If using a PC, we will access these programs through the internet.
Seminar Objectives- Participants will gain a basic understanding of iRobot, Dash and Dot, Sphero, and Cubelets and their potential applications for enhancing STEM learning in the classroom.
- Participants will learn how to design and implement hands-on, interactive lessons and projects that use these tools to teach coding, robotics, and problem-solving skills to students.
- Participants will develop strategies for effectively managing technology projects in the classroom, including troubleshooting technical issues, promoting teamwork, and assessing student learning.
- Participants will explore how to integrate these innovative tools into a variety of subject areas and grade levels, and how to adapt lesson plans and activities to meet the needs of different learners.
