| Seminar Short Desc | This training is for teachers and administrators that would like to gain a foundational understanding of the New York State Science Learning Standards. |
| Seminar Full Desc | Teachers and administrators will experience a 3-dimensional science lesson from the perspective of a student, identifying what a 3D lesson should look and sound like in the classroom. An overview of the NYSSLS, including what they are and how to read them, will be provided as well as a discussion around why the science learning standards are changing. Participants will take a look at vertical progressions of the 3-dimensions from K-12 and discuss interdisciplinary overlap at all levels. We will discuss teacher tips for incrementally shifting lessons and how 3D learning can be assessed, including providing constructive feedback for student growth. |
