Seminar Short Desc | Grades 3, 4, and 5 teachers will experience selected lessons and activities in the kits and get to interact with the materials and online resources in addition to an overview of the new NYS Science Learning Standards, 3-dimensional learning, the 5E lesson structure, and the new NYS Required Science Investigations. |
Seminar Full Desc | Grades 3, 4, and 5 teachers will experience selected lessons and activities in the kits and get to interact with the materials and online resources. In the morning of the first day, there will be a walkthrough of the structure of an Advancing STEM kit and all of the resources available to teachers, an overview of the new NYS Science Learning Standards, 3-dimensional learning, and the 5E lesson structure, and a discussion around the new NYS Required Science Investigations. During the afternoon of the first day and the entire second day, grade levels will rotate through stations, working on activities from their corresponding grade levels. |
