Seminar Full Desc | In this CLC, we will use two anchor texts in order to frame our discussion and learning about how to ENGAGE the heart and mind of our learners. Today, educators face many challenges, such as, ensuring a positive school environment and managing interactions between students. In the CLC, we will connect the dots between the SEL competencies and children's literature.
During each session, the participants will be exposed to multiple children's books that can be used in the classroom to embed the SEL competencies, encourage discussions and promote a positive learning environment. Texts: Classroom Reading to Engage the Heart and Mind by Nancy Boyles and Emotional Learning and the Brain by Marilee Sprenger. The first 25 learners to register will receive both texts. |
