Seminar Full Desc | This 3-day workshop will help participants evaluate the most important standards at their subject level and look to create benchmark assessments that will help their students perform better on New York State assessments. This workshop will be based off of what we've learned creating the other 3-8 ELA and Math benchmarks and will also focus on improving these and possibly even expanding to other subjects, based on interest. |

Determine what the 'power standards' are for their grade and subject level. Analyze what types of questions New York State has asked at those standards. Create benchmarks using information about the difficulty of released questions from the New York State Education Department. Share benchmarks and develop a plan to use them for the upcoming school year. |
