Seminar Short Desc | Participants will be introduced to Lab-Aids by retrieving a broad overview of the program and a specific kit, which will help in understanding the entire curriculum. We will be exploring the Earth Science kit, Earth's Resources, to figure out how the growing population is affecting Earth's limited natural resources. |
Seminar Full Desc | How is a growing human population affecting the availability of natural resources? Investigative phenomena within the lessons connect back to the issue and storyline.
Humans affect the availability of natural resources. Examples explored include human use of oil, gas, mineral, and fresh water resources to meet human needs. Students generate and answer questions such as: How are natural resources formed and used? Why do some places have more of certain natural resources than others? How important are natural resources to people? |
