| Seminar Short Desc | This DASA Certification Training currently consists of six hours of self-paced, online professional development. This 100% online model is approved by the New York State Education Department. It is aligned to the syllabus required by New York State Education Department. |
| Seminar Full Desc | The Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) of 2012 required school districts to create policies and guidelines to be used in school training programs. DASA discourages the development of discrimination or harassment and enables employees to prevent and respond to discrimination or harassment. Under, the amended law, school professionals applying for licenses after July 1, 2013, must undergo training regarding bullying, harassment, and discrimination social patterns.
CA BOCES has been approved by NYSED to offer six hours of DASA training to school professionals applying for certificates. This training is aligned to the syllabus required by NSYED. This DASA Certification Training currently consists of six hours of self-paced,online professional development.. |
