This workshop is intended for those new to the library profession and who have not yet received training on Demco products. Those attending should bring several paperbacks and hard covers in need of repair. |

Seminar Broadcast Notes | This workshop is intended for those new to the library profession and who have not yet received training on Demco products. Plan to bring 5 or so books in need of repair. Consider: damaged corners (hardcover books); broken spines, torn pages, ripped out pages, etc. |
Seminar Objectives | Participants will:
- learn how to make books "shelf-ready" - practice the technique of breaking in a paperback and recovering for durability - understand the purposes of different adhesives and tapes - repair a torn page using correct method and adhesive strip - gain knowledge in correctly repairing the spine of a hard-covered book - utilize Demco products on books with specific repair needs |

- actively engage with the Demco presenter and materials as provided - gain practical experience that will extend the life of library materials - ask questions as it relates to various techniques being learned - identify and create a list of products that will be useful for book repair needs.
