Seminar Full Desc | Explicit instruction still lives in the science classroom. When we ask students to perform science skills like real field scientists, we need to explain, model, and guide them in those skills - at every grade level. Participants will be provided resources to understand how these skills look at their grade levels. Ideas and discussion will center around how we can provide instruction in the science and engineering practices and the crosscutting concepts - two-thirds of the NYS Science Learning Standards! Participants will leave with anchor charts that they can utilize in their classrooms the next day! |
