Seminar Short DescMicrosoft 365's Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI) provide opportunities for Microsoft 365 users to create dynamic and automated digital solutions to problems and processes. In this three day series, participants will explore Power Automate and Power Apps, create workflows and solutions using these and other Microsoft 365 applications, and create a simple app.
Seminar Full DescDay 1 - Participants will immediately dive into computational thinking and workflow creation by creating a Microsoft Form to collect data using two separate methods of data collection. Throughout the day, participants will refine this process of data collection by examining data types, locations, and automation with a primary focus on Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow). The day will conclude with an introduction to Power Apps.

Day 2 - Participants will use Power Apps to create a simple application to provide an automated workflow that collects data from an appropriate, external data source, interacts with the data, and/or sends an update to an external source. Participants should bring ideas for an application; examples include a daily SEL check-in app, a weekly learning self-reflection app, or a unit assessment.

Day 3 - Participants will refine the applications started from session 2, and they will briefly present a summary of their work. To conclude the day, participants will work create a more refined application using Power Apps to create an app of their own choosing or they will work collaboratively to create a template for a more complicated app such as a digital breakout room.
