Seminar Short DescThis collaborative learning community (CLC) is designed to provide collaboration, networking, and research opportunities for middle and high school English Language Arts teachers in the CA BOCES region. The CLC will provide support in the integration of Next Generation ELA Standards. Session 1 will focus on reading instruction. Session 2 will focus on writing instruction.
Seminar Full DescThis collaborative learning community (CLC) is designed to provide collaboration, networking, and research opportunities for middle and high school English Language Arts teachers in the CA BOCES region.

The meetings are structured around the needs, interests, and concerns of the ELA teachers who attend, as well as to provide continued support for implementation of the Next Generation ELA Standards. Session 1 will focus on reading instruction. Session 2 will focus on writing instruction. Each session will include opportunities for participant sharing of resources and strategies.

Other topics that may be covered are vocabulary, writing workshop, grammar instruction, curriculum alignment, technology in the ELA classroom, and standards aligned assessments. We will be supporting continued work from the ELA Summer Institute.
