The K 5 Mathematics Collaborative Learning Community (CLC) offers a unique opportunity for teachers to come together, collaborate, and deepen their understanding of high-impact mathematics instruction aligned with New York State initiatives.
Throughout the two thoughtfully designed sessions, participants will: Explore New York State Mathematics Initiatives: Gain a deeper understanding of current state priorities, including the Numeracy Briefs, and how these initiatives connect meaningfully to daily classroom instruction. Strengthen Content Knowledge: Build a stronger foundation in elementary mathematics concepts and practices to support all learners. Engage with High-Leverage Instructional Strategies: Share and reflect on effective, research-based teaching practices that promote student engagement and achievement in mathematics. Leverage CABOCES Resources: Discover a variety of instructional tools, professional supports, and digital resources available through CABOCES to enhance your teaching practice. Use Data to Drive Instruction: Learn how to interpret and apply student data to inform instructional decisions and differentiate learning experiences. These focus areas will not be treated as isolated topics; rather, they will be interwoven and embedded throughout both sessions, ensuring a cohesive and practical learning experience that supports real-world application in your classroom.
