| Seminar Full Desc | This full-day professional development workshop is designed to engage educators, support staff, and community stakeholders in exploring the critical themes and insights from The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. As youth anxiety, depression, and social disconnection rise, this book offers a compelling framework to understand how changes in childhood particularly the shift to phone-based, less autonomous lifestyles are impacting mental health.
Participants will explore the books core arguments about the phone-based childhood versus the play-based childhood, review relevant research, and reflect on the real-world implications for schools, homes, and communities. The day will include guided discussions, interactive activities, and collaborative planning to help attendees translate theory into practice.
