| Seminar Full Desc | Join a dynamic online learning community designed specifically for administrators and educational leaders who are committed to shaping effective, ethical, and innovative instructional policy for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom.
This community is ideal for district and building leaders, curriculum coordinators, technology directors, and anyone tasked with leading instructional change. Whether you're just beginning to explore AI or already navigating its use in your schools, this space offers meaningful, sustained professional learning and peer support. This year-long collaborative experience will include four virtual sessions, strategically spaced throughout the year, offering structured opportunities to explore, discuss, and create district-specific policies and procedures that support the instructional integration of AI in a K-12 setting. Discussions will emphasize how AI can be used to augment student learning while upholding ethical standards, digital citizenship, and equitable access. Goals of the Community: 1. Collaborate with fellow leaders to share insights, challenges, and best practices around AI in education. 2. Develop clear and actionable policy and procedures that promote the responsible use of AI in instruction. 3. Support each other through the process of policy development and implementation. 4. Empower educators and students to engage with AI tools ethically and effectively. What to Expect: Each session will focus on a different stage of the policy or procedure development process: 1. Session 1- Plan: - Provide background information on AI and Ed-Law 2D compliance. -Share any work that is already being done in regard to AI. -Brainstorm and discuss how districts can continue or begin to develop policy and procedure around instructional AI. 2. Session 2- Do: - Provide resources and strategies to turnkey to educators in their districts. - Share any improvements or feedback about work that is already being done in regard to AI. - Develop district-specific AI policy or procedure draft. 3. Session 3- Study: - Provide resources to assist in data analysis of policy and procedure. - Share any improvements or feedback about work that is already being done in regard to AI. - Plan initial implementation of developed AI policy or procedures to conduct data analysis after implementation. 4. Session 4- Act: - Provide time and guidance to analyze and reflect upon collected data. - Share and debrief any insights gathered from the data. - Revise AI policy or procedures accordingly. |
