Workshop Full Desc | With the support of CA BOCES and successful ASCA framework practitioners, school counselors will design and deliver comprehensive school counseling programs that promote student achievement. These programs are comprehensive in scope, preventative in design, and developmental in nature. The May 10th session will outline the components of a comprehensive school counseling program using the ASCA National Model: foundation, management, delivery, and accountability. The focus for the summer sessions will be to prepare counselors with the knowledge, skills, and appropriate practices needed to implement a Comprehensive School Counseling Program:
- counseling/program audit - data profiles - goal setting - curriculum mapping - data informed program/intervention decisions - how to use data to evaluate programs/interventions - action plans - calendar development |
