| Workshop Full Desc | The New York State Science Learning Standards look a bit different from the current standards. Teachers will need to think about three-dimensional teaching dealing with SEPs (Science & Engineering Practices), CCCs (Cross-Cutting Concepts), and DCIs (Disciplinary Core Idea). Teachers will learn best practices for science which might be more facilitating than leading students to the correct answer. Teachers will dissect sample lessons and also take part in a model lesson. Finally, teachers will have time to work on a current lesson to align it with three-dimensional teaching. |
