| Workshop Full Desc | CA BOCES will implement the following during the June 2015 regional scoring of New York State Regents Examinations:
• Each examination will be scored at a single location. • We will implement expedited scoring that will place preference on “next day” scoring when possible. • Comprehensive English, Common Core English, Global History & Geography, and US History & Government will all be scheduled for two days. The second day may or may not be used, but all scorers should plan on two days. • Teachers will be identified as subject-certified or as content teachers (e.g., a teacher currently teaching Global is a “content” teacher; a teacher teaching 7th grade social studies is a “subject-certified” teacher). During scoring, content teachers will serve as scorers, but also as advisors for subject-certified teachers. • Teacher leaders will again be used for training the content portions of each examination. • The cost of January scoring will be $1.00 per test. • Scoring is run through COSER 529 and is eligible for substitute reimbursement. |
