Workshop Full DescThis hybrid event, featuring in-person discussions and online presentations, will provide New York State administrators and school leaders with the opportunity to engage in regional conversations about approaches to performance-based learning and assessment (PBLA) that support local implementation of NY Inspires and New York's Educational Assessment Strategy in middle and high school.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from keynote speaker Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond.
Workshop AudienceThis event is specifically for superintendents, school and district administrators, teachers who serve as instructional coaches or leaders, and middle/high school educational leaders.

Workshop Objectives-Understand the core principles of Performance-Based Learning and Assessment (PBLA) and their application in middle and high school settings.
-Examine the alignment between PBLA, NY Inspires, and New York s Educational Assessment Strategy, identifying implications for local implementation.
-Identify actionable next steps to strengthen or implement performance-based learning and assessment practices within their schools or districts.
Assessment of LearningParticipants will demonstrate their understanding through active engagement in regional discussions, reflection on alignment to NY Inspires and the New York Educational Assessment Strategy, and the identification of specific next steps for implementing or strengthening Performance-Based Learning and Assessment in their local context.
