**CABOCES does not expect or encourage teachers to teach the Reading Cafe novels. This is an opportunity for teachers to read and discuss the novel through the lens of the NYS NG ELA standards with regional colleagues. Any decision to teach the novel is up to the school district. We always promote open communication between teachers and administration, all district stakeholders, prior to teaching a new work of fiction or non-fiction. |
