Workshop Full DescHow can we use Formative Assessment and Inner Orbit to scaffold teaching of science in the NYSSLS? Participants that have used Inner Orbit will learn how to maximize use of the data to guide future instruction. Inner Orbit's robust data analysis platform can provide a teacher with so much information. Learn from classroom teachers how to use this data to inform your instruction or for vertical alignment conversations.
Workshop AudienceTeachers, Curriculum Coordinators, School Leaders
Workshop PrerequisitesTeachers should have created and administered at least one Inner Orbit assessment with their students in order to have data to work with during this session. The more assessments, the more you will get out of this workshop.
Workshop ObjectivesParticipants will be able to:
- utilize Inner Orbit's detailed three-dimensional data to provide insight into student understanding
- use Inner Orbit's phenomenon and questions to target areas of need, as illuminated in reports
Assessment of Learning- use Assignment Reports to analyze student performance on individual questions of a single assessment
- use Dimensions Reports to see data from a class or school perspective and understand what the students have mastered and what the misconceptions are
- use the Performance Expectations Reports to view student proficiency by performance expectation and each dimension and element
