Workshop Full DescCattaraugus-Allegany BOCES Professional Development department will offer regional scoring for New York State Regents Examinations in January 2024. Regional scoring is not a mandate for school districts, but many school districts opt for regional scoring because teachers are not permitted to score their own assessments.

CA BOCES will implement the following during the January 2024 regional scoring of New York State Regents Examinations:
Teachers will be identified as subject-certified or as content teachers (e.g., a teacher currently teaching Global is a content teacher; a teacher teaching 7th grade social studies is a subject-certified teacher). During scoring, content teachers will serve as scorers, and also as advisors for subject-certified teachers.
Teacher leaders will again be used for training the content portions of the examination.
The cost of January 2024 scoring will be "determined" per test.
Scoring is run through COSER 529 and is eligible for substitute reimbursement
