The morning session will focus on recent decisions from hearing officers, the Commissioner, and the Courts (including the very recent US Supreme Court school prayer decision in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, 2022), and what questions and rules result from those decisions that may affect how Principals and AP s approach different matters. (We will also review data and recurring questions that arose in 2021-22 involving student discipline). Plan to discuss the decisions and apply the rules and guidance to different scenarios. |
