| Workshop Full Desc | Grade 5 teachers will experience selected lessons and activities in the new Space Systems Advancing STEM kit and get to interact with the materials and online resources. There will be a walkthrough of the structure of an Advancing STEM kit and all of the resources available to teachers. An overview of the new NYS Science Learning Standards, 3-dimensional learning, and the 5E lesson structure will be provided. Teachers that have experience with the other three Grade 5 Advancing STEM kits will be asked to share their best practices for using the kits and have the opportunity to discuss nuances and suggestions for improvement. |
