The participants will learn the seven critical ingredients of phonics teaching that produce the greatest student learning gains: Readiness Skills, Scope and Sequence, Blending, Dictation, Word Awareness, High Frequency Words, and Reading Connected Texts; Wiley will also integrate the 10 Common Causes of Phonics Instruction Failure. This two-session workshop will have a tremendous impact on teachers and kids in our region.

Participants will start to plan ways to implement the seven critical ingredients of phonics teaching into their own practice.
Participants will be introduced to Reycraft Books: authentic stories and illustrations that reflect the voice and vision of ALL students.
