Workshop Full Desc | Eric Jensen is the author of over 26 books including Teaching with
Poverty in Mind, Tools for Engagement, Turnaround Tools for the Teenage Brain, Different Brains, Different Learners, Teaching with the Brain in Mind and Enriching the Brain. Our component school districts are welcome to join us as Eric Jensen leads us through his workshop, Teaching and Engaging with Poverty in Mind. The focus of our work will be in understanding the unique learning, social, and behavioral challenges of students who come from poverty. We will focus on the factors that matter most by learning from Jensen’s work with schools that are succeeding with students from poverty. Eric Jensen is known to be a highly interactive facilitator who focuses on valuable and practical knowledge and skills around his work. Much of his work is on how conditions like poverty impact how our brains work and what schools can do to help students whose brains have been affected by poverty. |
