Workshop Full DescWe are excited to announce a series tailored to the specific needs of PK-2nd grade educators. Early childhood educators wear many hats making multiple decisions at a moment's notice for students from many backgrounds. The pandemic showed professionals that mental health and social-emotional learning are of utmost importance. However, improving the health and well-being of our youngest learners can be challenging when educators are faced with the pressures and demands of current standards. The load can feel like childhood development takes a back seat to academic rigor even though we know it is the foundation for learning. This series is designed for early childhood educators in Pk-2nd grade who believe children are creative, curious, and active learners who learn best when they are in an environment filled with high expectations for learning.

Specific topics throughout the series include childhood development, reflective practice, author studies, the role of fairy tales in the classroom, word walls, behavior charts, social-emotional learning, literature, math read aloud, and movement in math.
