Workshop Full Desc | Jen will provide the big picture of a Balanced Literacy Classroom Day and an overview of all the essential components of balanced literacy, including phonics and phonemic awareness instruction. During the two sessions, Jen will discuss low-prep, high-yield strategies to implement balanced literacy instruction. By using her ideal schedule for a balanced-literacy classroom as the framework, Jen will refresh teachers' knowledge and hit the high points on what a day in a classroom at "Jen Jones Elementary" would look like!
In addition to the most important literacy practices for K-3 students, more student-centered ownership of strategies for reading engagement and reading achievement; use of the most effective strategies for teaching student voice & choice and authentic audience will be included. Registration includes UNLIMITED access to the conference recordings and free resources given out during the conference.
