Workshop Full DescJoin fellow educators from the region as we dig deeper and explore strategies and resources that support the implementation of the Common Core Standards, Instructional Shifts, and Standards for Mathematical Practices. We will support these learning opportunities throughout the year using a blended model of face-to-face meetings, Adobe Connect, and Moodle. The focus will be on teacher collaboration. Participants may choose to construct their own professional learning from the topics provided.

Workshop Objectives1. Create learning targets from the Common Core State Standards and performance level descriptors (PLD).
2. Create parallel questions from NYSED released annotated questions.
3. Explore and debrief NYSED Math Task Talk videos.
4. Build academic vocabulary using Robert Marzano's 6 steps.
5. Check for understanding during daily lessons.
6. Learn how to effectively use data with students.
