Seminar Short DescThis training is only for districts which participated in the 2023-2024 CA BOCES Title II Part A Teacher Training Consortium (the Eisenhower). Within this consortium, each participating district receives resources and training on those resources. For the 2023-2024 school year, Lego Spike kits have been purchased. These kits will be distributed at the training session, where participants can explore the possibilities of integrating Lego Spike at their own districts.
Seminar Full DescThis training is only for districts which participated in the 2023-2024 CA BOCES Title II Part A Teacher Training Consortium (the Eisenhower). The Teacher Training Consortium allows CA BOCES to offer professional development to component school district teachers while also allowing us to purchase materials to accompany that training. For the 2023-2024 school year, Lego Spike kits have been purchased. These kits will be distributed at the training session, where participants can explore the possibilities of integrating Lego Spike at their own districts. Each participating district will be able to take those kits back to their district at the end of the training.

Participants will take the Lego Spike kits with them back to their districts to be integrated.

Assessment of LearningParticipants will be able to physically explore the kits to demonstrate that they have learned how to use them.
Participants will generate a list of activities or lessons that include the Lego Spike kits to demonstrate that they have brainstormed ideas for integrating the kits.
Oral discussion and feedback will also assess whether the objectives were met.
Evaluation Summary Notes-Teachers grew
-They loved learning the legos and appreciated the hands on time
Needed Changes-One teacher said wished the school would have purchased the upper level legos
-Some teachers may want to have assistance and Brooke and I offered to follow up
Next Steps-Teachers really want to use the legos for lego league and in their classes
