| Work Summary | -Laura took many notes. She shared how she got into teaching and her interest in the library field and how that led to her being hired as the elementary librarian starting July 2024. Laura is not familiar with school library programming so I introduced the template for a Policy and Procedure Manual so she would understand the many responsibilities of her role. We reviewed the IFC and how its benchmark skills will guide her instruction. We reviewed Project Look Sharp's webpage and resources of free lessons for teaching media literacy. I shared the K-12 scaffold for teaching research skills, which also incorporated CSDF and Next Gen ELA standards |
