Seminar Short Desc | The average preschooler student asks between 400-500 questions a day. A high school student: 1-2. This workshop, designed for teachers at elementary, middle, and high school levels, will explore ways to empower kids to ask questions and spark their curiosity. |
Seminar Full Desc | This workshop will help educators focus on student-centered learning through inquiry-based learning practices. Curiosity and questioning are inherent within us all, yet as children grow older, they may become more reserved in exploring their curiosity. The workshop will help teachers help students develop autonomy, exploration, and experimentation skills, bolster their imagination, and embrace intrinsic motivation. In addition, the workshop will offer ways teachers can get their students to ask questions and have more meaningful, intrinsically motivated discussions through multiple strategies including the Question Formulation Technique. |
