| Work Summary | -Polly had pulled about 30 books for covering. I introduced the machine and its components to Polly and Jacob; Covered two books as I explained the process, Coached Polly in covering 2 books, coached Jacob in covering 2 books. Supervised them recovering the remainder of books.
-Polly showed me a storage cabinet of book covering materials. We discussed the efficiency of the Colibri machine (2 minutes to cover a book) vs. using materials that need to be measured, cut, and applied (10 minutes to cover a book) -I show Polly and Jacob how to correctly break in a new paperback book and why this is done. Recommended she purchase a bone folder and vinyl glue fir repairing cardboard book spines |
