This book study is designed for teachers from the region who are interested in taking an in-depth look at rural literacy and why place matters. Join us as we engage in a 6-week book study on the text, Teaching in Rural Places: Thriving in Classrooms, Schools, and Communities This offering is for educators who are committed to thinking critically about the impact of rurality in the classroom so that all students achieve high levels of learning. Teachers will walk away with strategies for understanding rural communities, valuing rural ways of being, and teaching in diverse rural schools. |
