| Work Summary | -Kristen has created a welcoming environment for her elementary students with interactives, colorful displays, and new seating
-Kristen is overwhelmed with faculty requests (which go beyond her role - "pay for and order books for my new classroom". I suggested that she use this year to build relationships with students and faculty, (it's her first year in the district), and focus on library skills. She should not be concerned with inventory management. -Some books in the library are damaged and need to be discarded. I provided Kristen with a "weeding" guide and suggested she share it with her school principal and superintendent, and find out what the school's process is for discarding books -Some districts require detailed info in a spreadsheet that is board-approved; others have carte blanche |
