Seminar Objectives-Participants will be able to fully implement the Heggerty curriculum into their daily lesson plans
-Participants will understand the difference between phonological awareness, phonemic awareness and phonics
-Participants will be able to use Heggerty assessment date to make decisions on their students' placement in the Heggerty curriculum
Work Summary-Participants were trained using the Heggerty On Demand Professional Development videos
-Participants also watched a coach model the first lesson with hand motions in the curriculum and then practiced the use of this curriculum with a partner.
-Participants were shown how to administer the Heggerty screener to students according to grade level
Assessment of Learning-Participants can define as a whole group the terms phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, and phonics
-Participants modeled implementation of the Heggerty curriculum with a partner
-Participants completed a self-assessment survey
