Seminar Objectives | -Focus of the work was getting teachers and students in the 3rd and 4th grades familiar with Castle Learning so they can start to prepare for Computer Based Testing that is coming up shortly |
Work Summary | -Met with some of the 3rd and 4th grade teachers and students
-Got the students all logged into Castle Learning and they each tried one or two sample assessments so they could see how the program works |
Assessment of Learning | -Discussion, oral feedback and the successful completion of the assessments on Castle Learning helped to demonstration the success of the lesson |
Evaluation Summary Notes | -It took some time but all students were able to get into their accounts and access the assessments
-Students were able to complete the assessments by the end of the lessons |
Needed Changes | -It would be beneficial to have enough time blocked in to get the students into the program
-That took the bulk of the time together during the lesson |
Next Steps | - Facilitator will follow up with the teachers next week
-Teachers want to do follow up assignments and assessments so that their students can continue to familiarize themselves with the program -Facilitator has reached out to the other 3rd and 4th grade teachers to make sure that they have the same training with their students as well -Another goal is to figure out how to upload teacher-created tests and quizzes into Castle so the students can practice by taking those assessments on their computers -Facilitator will continue to work on figuring out the best way to accomplish this |
