| Work Summary | -Prior to my visit, Amanda notified teachers that I would be on-site.
-Pioneer MS library has had a complete overhaul as a result of a capital project. Amanda shared with me the process and discussions with architects and what she wished she had known beforehand. -Library aide, Amy, received training on the CoLibri machine for covering books. -Amanda had me assess books in need of repair and I shared that we have a book binding machine. |
| Assessment of Learning | -Although I was available to teachers, no one came to see me.
-Amanda will be a great resource for any school looking to redesign their library. Communication is key. -Great discussion around book repair. Based on how many books are discarded, Amanda may purchase a CoLibri and Cover One for her library. She is going to keep a tally of how many repairs have been done to justify these purchases versus borrowing through CASLS. |
