Seminar Objectives | -Teachers will seek expertise related to resources; Carli will receive feedback on classroom management and student behavior. |
Work Summary | -Carli shared with elementary teachers that I would be visiting and available for training on Insignia.
-School psychologist, Ashley Q., asked if I had any resources related to parenting that would be appropriate as handouts. We discussed the book, Intentional Parenting, and I encouraged her to reach out to community resources. -I observed Carli instructing several grade level of students (5th, 3rd, Pre-K, and 2nd). Two of her classes had students who would not listen to her instructions. |
Assessment of Learning | -Ashley took notes on my suggestions.
-Carli was receptive to what I had to share. She is used to ms/hs students and I advised her to review the rules of the library with students when they enter the library. Doing so will remind students of appropriate behavior and accountability. |
Evaluation Summary Notes | -Conversations. |
Needed Changes | -I am going to look into parental resources for the professional library. For example, articles on why sleep is important, appropriate behavior, healthy eating, etc. After speaking with Ashley, this is an area that should be updated. |
Next Steps | -I will follow up with Carli and Ashley. Carli to discuss student behavior and I have a resource to share with Ashley. |
