Work Summary-Participant has been weeding out old reference books and this has freed up a new area of the library. Participant is interested in rearranging but wanted facilitator input regarding locations and an instructional area. Facilitator questioned the choice of non-fiction location and we discussed the pros and cons. (Similar to why grocery stores put their milk in the back of the store; to get customers to walk past other items and decide they "need" items not on their list)
-We also discussed goals for library programming next year at both CLV and Friendship
-Participants would like to work with facilitator on creating Book Club kits based on Kittle & Gallagher's book 4 Essential Studies: Beliefs and Practices to Reclaim Student Agency. This summer we will host a two day workshop for high school English teachers and their librarians.
