Seminar Short Desc | Teachers will learn about the contents of an Engineering is Elementary (EiE) Kit and the format they follow. |
Seminar Full Desc | Teachers will go through the four lessons in an Engineering is Elementary (EiE) Kit. Each kit has the same format and guides to follow. Lesson 1 introduces the engineering problem through a story. Lesson 2 provides background knowledge about the specific type of engineering involved. Lesson 3 has the students explore the materials in scientific experiments which relate to the problem. Lesson 4 engages students in designing a solution using previous lessons to guide their decisions. Teachers will also learn about technology and engineering definitions which are important for students as well. |
